I'm trying something new... well, technically, it's not new. It's old. This is the way people used to vacation. Not even that long ago in fact! Back before cell phones, laptops and social media, when you went on vacation you were actually on vacation. No emails, no texts, no calls, no worries. Once kids are in the picture it's becomes harder to officially "vacation" but I am determined with this short little trip to bring it back. I don't know about you but isn't life just moving so fast? I swear I was 21 like yesterday and I met the man of my dreams last Tuesday... At least that's the way it feels. If I've shown you any of me at all, you know I am really into living an authentic life. Being who you are, all the time and embracing all of your strengths and and even your weaknesses. Part of being authentic is realizing when to rally and when to rest. This weekend we celebrate 5 amazing years of marriage. When I tell you that I would not be who I am today without this man standing beside me, believe me, it's true! I don't think I was incredibly lost before we met but I do think I lacked a lot of heart. I knew how to be me but I didn't know how to be me with someone else. Now, 5 years later we have created two new hearts with our girls Harper Rose and Sutter Ann and made countless memories. I owe it to myself, my husband and our 5 years together, to rest, relax and reflect. I am counting on loosing track of time, gathering a mind (and a camera- a real camera. Like one that isn't on an iphone) full of inspiration and sipping on some of the best grapes Napa Valley has to offer. Catch y'all on the flip side of this little rest. Happy Friday!
