Lighting is something we’re known for at THELIFESTYLEDCO, and when designing my home, #theODLhouse, placing the right lighting was one of the most important parts of my design process. Lighting can be really hard to get right in a design - a light too small could make a room look unfinished, while a light too big can make a room appear overcrowded!

When choosing lighting, you must consider scale and size of the space you’re designing, the type of lighting that would serve the space best (a pendant vs a chandelier, a sconce vs a lamp, etc) and overall aesthetic! We prefer bold, oversized lighting in our projects, thoughtfully placed to both make a statement and tie a design together.
