Gilbert, AZ is where THELIFESTYLEDCO alllll began, and what you all now know as LCO Gilbert is actually LCO Gilbert 2.0! Let's take it back to where it started shall we?! Here's the cliff notes version! Our journey in retail began in 2017 with a weekend pop up shop where we sold conversation mugs and t-shirts along with our favorite home decor. After an insane weekend, Kristen Forgione, our Founder + Principal Designer, realized that we might be onto something! Cut to a few months later and we opened shop in a teeny, 500 square foot space located on the second floor in our beloved Downton Gilbert!

LCO Gilbert, or "Gilbs" if you've been here a while, was small but MIGHTY! We started out in 2016 only open a few days a week and shared the space with our design offices. Our team was growing by the day and in August of 2018 we launched our online shop, where we get to serve so many of you today! The love and support we felt by our community was (as still is!) truly unmatched; we learned as we went, and ultimately found much success in our little shop!

Flash forward to 2020, and between navigating a worldwide pandemic and a growing team, there was even more the year had in store. Just as the timing for our Downtown Gilbert location was impeccable and meant to be, the timing on another space for our company proved to be just as magical. We had no intention on looking elsewhere for a new shop as 2020 began, however the social justice movement that transpired shed light on all of the ways we were unintentionally taking part in exclusion. As a result, we made the difficult decision to relocate our Downtown Gilbert shop so it can be accessible to all people. With old Gilbs being located on the second floor with no elevator, it was PARAMOUNT that our next shop be located on the ground level and fully ADA compliant. 

The BRAND NEW LCO Gilbert opened in October 2020 one of the fastest growing cities in Arizona. We completely gutted and renovated what was once a flower shop, and transformed the space into a shopping experience where Organic Desert Living comes to life. From the custom built in bed to showcase luxe linens to the one of a kind chair wall, LCO Gilbert is without a doubt new AND improved.
